It is in our workshop, located in Hossegor, that this black barometer was designed with the aim to modernise this very traditional weather tool so it can adapt to current interiors.
To meet that objective, each handed barometer is hand-assembled with premium materials; beechwood frame, mineral glass, superior-printed face, bolt-shaped reference pointer also in beech wood, Vidie capsule (mechanism works without batteries) …
As this weather indicator is very sensitive due to its specific mechanism, each manufacturing step is meticulously followed by our Ocean Clock workshop’s team.
To make this object both modern and original a strip of white made-in-France paint adorns a part of the wooden frame, and the traditional reference pointer was replaced by a magnetic wooden bolt-shaped pointer. This little touch of originality and colour contrasts with the deep-black face resulting in a very smart finish.
